Your future role
Based in Derby, we have a very exciting opportunity for a Lead Project Procurement Manager to join Alstom UK&I. The opportunity offers significant opportunity for career growth. As the Senior Project Procurement Manager (SPPM) you will be part of a team of procurement professionals delivering Alstom’s Servicing contracts in a £400mn dynamic marketplace and will be required to manage activities alongside Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality.
Working as part of the Project Management Team, you will ensure that scopes of work are understood, engage with the procurement team; are delivered on time to budget and at the same time, looking to convert opportunities to make savings and mitigate any risks to the project portfolio.
We will look to you to:
* Manage the Procurement activity of the Project
* Define and implement the Project Procurement Strategy in full respect of Quality Cost Delivery commitment
* Manage the Material Work Package

You’ll need to have held a similar role and looking for a new opportunity to develop your skills further. You’ll be well experienced in contract negotiation, along with significant procurement experience. Ideally you will have rail experience or have come from a comparable industry.
In addition to being an experienced procurement manager, you’ll be a natural leader, well organised with a strong focus on delivering on time and to budget. This is a key role and will be working with senior stakeholders and therefore will need to demonstrate the ability to work in an international and multidisciplinary team.

* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business Management or Procurement
* Technical knowledge, contract management / legal awareness, project experience
