Job Overview
Teaching Assistant (KS2) required with effect from 1st September 2025 (temporary, fixed term to cover maternity leave). 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only.
St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Primary School is a safe and nurturing environment where we encourage children to develop to their full potential. The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join a team of enthusiastic support staff. The successful candidate should possess relevant childcare qualifications at level 2 or 3, have school experience in KS2 and a commitment to ensuring the highest possible quality provision for the children and families in this area of Rochdale.
Responsibilities
The role involves leading groups under the teacher’s direction and supporting the class teacher in planning and assessing the children’s work in addition to preparing resources. The successful candidate will assist with the integration of pupils with special educational needs and/or supporting a small group or on an individual basis within the classroom.
