Job Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of the estate properties. This role involves coordinating with various teams to ensure compliance with regulations, managing budgets, and implementing effective maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Estate Management:
Oversee the maintenance and operation of estate properties, ensuring they meet health and safety regulations.
Coordinate and carryout repairs, renovations, and upkeep activities, as appropriate
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and grounds.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and train staff within wider teams, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members effectively.
Budget Management:
Assist in preparing and managing the budget for estate and fleet operations.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for improvement.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure all estate activities comply with relevant legislation and best practice standards.
Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on estate performance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with external contractors and service providers as needed.
Work closely with other departments to understand their needs and provide support accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Relevant degree or equivalent experience in facilities management, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in estate management, or facilities management.
Skills:
Project/Schedule management
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in using management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to estate operations.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Personal Attributes:
Proactive and detail-orientated, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.
Capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
Additional Information:
Valid UK driving license is required.
Flexibility to respond to emergencies and changes in the work schedule.
