Transformation Project Manager required by our market leading, retail sector organisation based in Avonmouth. This will initially be a 6-month, fixed term contract which is likely to extend/be made permanent. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days a week required onsite.
As the Transformation Project Manager for Retail Transformation, you will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer and the Retail team. You will take the lead in scoping, planning, and delivering a detailed retail transformation programme, which includes organisational changes at head office, rollouts across the business, and ensuring onboard team engagement.
A key focus will be enabling onboard retail teams to excel through training, coaching, product knowledge, sales techniques, and sales floor management. This project will address all aspects of the retail journey, ensuring guests enjoy the ultimate cruise retail experience.
Role Objectives
* Collaborate within the transformation team, focusing on Retail and People initiatives.
* Support the further definition of Retail objectives and initiatives to drive Retail Transformation.
* Define delivery plans encompassing all business areas, including resource requirements.
* Provide retail insights and support for approaches rolled out across a geographically dispersed retail estate.
* Take ownership of overall plans, working closely with business owners accountable for deliverables.
* Maintain project documentation and templates throughout the project lifecycle.
* Build stakeholder relationships at all levels to ensure programme support and delivery.
Essential Experience
* Proven project management expertise, including the development of plans involving stakeholders across various business areas.
* Experience in delivery and project management within an agile, continuous improvement environment.
* Ability to manage multiple initiatives within a programme, supporting business owners to take accountability for their plans and actions.
* Recent experience in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* A supportive approach that encourages challenging the status quo.
* Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills.
* A keen interest in retail, transformation, change, and industry trends.
The Desirables
* Recent change management experience within a mid-to-large retailer with 50+ outlets.
* Experience leading change across a geographically varied retail estate.
* Familiarity with duty-free or seafaring retail environments.
* Experience coaching transformation activities within an organisation.
