Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to provide targeted support for a KS2 pupil with SEMH needs, ASD, and ADHD at a primary school near Quinton, Birmingham (B32). This long-term position presents the potential for a permanent role for a candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to promoting positive behavioural and academic progress.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 tailored support, helping the pupil navigate daily challenges and access learning effectively.
Implement strategies to support emotional regulation, focus, and social interaction.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities and create a structured, supportive environment.
Use positive behaviour management techniques to de-escalate situations and encourage self-regulation.
Establish a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil to build confidence and engagement in learning.Candidate Requirements:
A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or relevant experience in behaviour support).
Prior experience working with children with SEMH needs, ASD, and ADHD, particularly within a primary school setting.
