The Role
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the effective management of all Aircraft mechanical maintenance activity.
Day to day, you’ll ensure that all Mechanical maintenance tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner, on time and to the highest standard complying with all approved maintenance data, as well as:
1. Check that all equipment required for tasking is available and reporting all deficiencies.
2. Over sign maintenance and release of mechanical category assets in line with competency limitations and certification.
3. Ensure all tool control procedures IAW the relevant Acceptable Means of Compliance are followed.
4. Monitor the handling, distribution, and satisfaction of engineering instructions and their associated reporting procedures.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Valley, on Anglesey.
Essential experience of the Mechanical Supervisor:
5. Experienced mechanical engineer with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics etc
6. Background in Aviation
7. Ideally have experience as at a supervisory / management level
Qualifications for the Mechanical Senior Supervisor:
8. Training in Mechanical discipline to City and Guilds Level or equivalent level 3 equivalent (completed an apprenticeship)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
