Key Responsibilities of the Esthetician:
* Greets visitors to the salon in a prompt, courteous manner.
* Administers client’s health history and release form to all new clients.
* Discusses client’s needs, expectations and past experience with receiving skin care services.
* Provides educated explanation of procedures to be performed on the client.
* Administers various skin treatments including but not limited to: facials, waxing, hydro pack, exfoliating, massage and paraffin treatments.
* Applies cosmetics.
* Offers suggestions for overall health and general maintenance of the results which the client has received due to their visit with the aesthetician.
* Maintains current knowledge of state-of the art aesthetics procedures and the ability to perform these procedures.
* Operates salon computer accurately and properly books all appointments for all salon staff when scheduled and during the absence of the receptionist.
* Answers incoming phone calls promptly and in a polite, courteous manner when scheduled and during the absence of the receptionist.
* Maintains professional service-oriented demeanor.
* Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager.
* Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Minimum Qualifications for the Aesthetician:
* Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility; and three to six months related experience and/or training.
* Current State Aesthetician license and other creditable certificates. CPR and First Aid Certification.
Other Qualifications:
* Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
