A thriving and inclusive mainstream primary school in Ealing is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team in the Autism Provision. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for supporting children with autism to create an enriching, engaging, and supportive environment, enabling students to thrive both academically and socially.
Role Highlights:
* Full-time, permanent position at a mainstream primary school in Ealing with a dedicated Autism Provision
* Work with students with autism, providing tailored teaching and support to meet their specific needs
* Plan and deliver individualized lessons, focusing on communication, social skills, and academic progress
* Create and implement differentiated strategies to ensure accessibility and success for all students in the autism provision
* Foster a safe and inclusive environment, where students feel valued, supported, and able to express themselves
* Collaborate closely with SENCo, support staff, and external professionals to ensure holistic and integrated support for each child
* Regularly assess and track students' progress, adjusting teaching methods and interventions as needed
* Communicate with parents and carers, providing updates and strategies for supporting their child at home
Experience & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Experience working with students on the autism spectrum in an SEN or mainstream school setting
* Knowledge of autism-specific teaching strategies, including the use of visual supports, social stories, and structured routines
* A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
* A strong commitment to providing inclusive education and meeting the diverse needs of students
* Enhanced DBS check required
