We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager located in the Midlands area who will be a key contributor to our success and will be responsible for a multi-customer sales territory of resellers, consultants and end-users to build demand and grow the sales of our products and solutions. This position requires a person with strong multi-tasking and communication skills that will help balance the demands of our customers, while building a strong pipeline of new opportunities. Responsibilities Comprehend and communicate Vicon's competitive advantages and go to market strategies. Build strong relationships with resellers, end-users and design consultants in the territory by being knowledgeable about Vicon's solutions and dependable in supporting their needs. Use these relationships to support and grow the sales of Vicon's products and solutions to the resellers in the territory. Network in the market to find sources of lead opportunities and follow them through to closing Work and communicate closely with Vicon's staff to report sales activity and opportunity via Vicon's CRM system. Support a corporate forecast and pipeline report that delivers accurate demand information for use in Vicon's production manufacturing Work with Vicon Marketing to support branding requirements and assess the marketing needs in the channel Travel to the various areas in the territory to conduct personal meetings and sales calls on a regular basis. (65% travel) Education and Experience At least three years of experience in sales management in a technology sector or B-to-B. Self-confidence and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to operate as a team leader. An ability to leverage good judgment when challenged with pricing pressure and competitive strengths. Strong technical understand with video technologies, network design/troubleshooting and software. Ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or technologies. Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to perform in a self-managed environment must be a "self-starter". Must be able to travel up to 65 % as needed.
