Hours: Fixed Term until the end of October 2026, 37 Hours per week (Mon-Fri) Location: King’s Lynn Foodbanks Office-based Salary: £24,335.84 per annum Annual Leave: 25 days (This includes 5 set office closure days) plus bank holidays Job Overview As a Foodbank Adviser, you’ll provide accredited advice tailored to each client’s needs, helping them navigate challenges and access essential support. You’ll play a key role in assisting individuals and families facing hardship, with the opportunity to take on limited casework when needed. Additionally, you’ll train and support volunteers, ensuring they have the skills to help those in crises. We aim to reduce their need for foodbank support in the future and enable them to develop resilience and self-confidence. Main Responsibilities: Ensure all advice complies with the organisation’s Quality Standards, policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, confidentiality and GDPR Maintain records on Casebook (our case recording and customer relationship management system) to ensure consistency, continuity and statistical monitoring. Ensure feedback is obtained from users of the service Produce reports, case studies and feedback for key stakeholders, including funders and partner agencies Collaborate with colleagues in NCA, Trussell Trust, and partner agencies to ensure service availability What we’re looking for: Excellent IT and telephone skills Ability to work independently as part of a team Ability to prioritise own work and meet deadlines Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of people using the service Effective communication skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues A Driver’s Licence and car are essential We are a strong supporter of equality, diversity and inclusive practices.
