This is an exciting opportunity to join the Neighbourhood Care Group within the Front Door portfolio. We are looking for suitable candidate with excellent communication and analytical skills. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Head of Clinical Services to support the Head of Clinical Service to lead a dynamic portfolio including GP Out of Hours, Single Point of Access and Dermatology.
This will be a busy but stimulating job; we are looking for a highly motivated candidate with previous experience of managing competing demands and supporting services users and carers who have complex needs.
The position is permanent and full time. There will be an opportunity for personal and professional development as well as support from peers and your line manager. Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of patient care. The post-holder will be expected to identify and implement initiatives to improve services, with delegated responsibility from the Head of Clinical Services, and lead designated projects to ensure key performance targets (clinical, operational and financial) are met.
The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Leads to ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered within the portfolio.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Recognised qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
* Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
* Master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent post graduate validated courses and experience
* ECDL or equivalent
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential criteria
* Up to date knowledge of modern service delivery and national plans for health and social care
* Budget management
* Understanding of project management methodology and approaches
* Understanding of service improvement tools and techniques
* Knowledge of clinical governance and the Health Care Standards
* Knowledge of the relationship between Commissioners, Providers, Local Authority and third sector
Experience
Essential criteria
* Evidence of considerable management experience underpinned by in depth study and experiential learning e.g. experience of working in a clinical setting at a senior level, i.e. Team Leader or above.
* Evidence of leadership and change management
* Evidence of innovation
Desirable criteria
* Research and Audit
