Day-to-day of the Sales Ledger Clerk Role: Maintain up-to-date billing system and generate invoices. Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments. Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines. Perform account reconciliations. Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities. Research and resolve payment discrepancies. Generate age analysis and review AR aging to ensure compliance. Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records. Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail, or personally. Required Skills & Qualifications for the Sales Ledger Clerk: Proven experience as a Sales Ledger Clerk or in a similar role. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
