Day-to-day of the Sales Ledger Clerk Role:
* Maintain up-to-date billing system and generate invoices.
* Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments.
* Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
* Perform account reconciliations.
* Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
* Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
* Generate age analysis and review AR aging to ensure compliance.
* Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records.
* Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail, or personally.
Required Skills & Qualifications for the Sales Ledger Clerk:
* Proven experience as a Sales Ledger Clerk or in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
* Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
* Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
* Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
* Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
