The recruitment Bunker are recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer for a leading company based in Coventry.
Reporting into the Programme Director, the Project Engineer will play a pivotal role utilising various techniques to ensure that the project deliverables are completed to a high standard in line with the overall project timing.

Company Overview
Our client is a specialist engineering design and development company that has grown into a business capable of delivering a complete turnkey solution on behalf of its global customers. To achieve this, they have developed skills in project and supply chain management and established the necessary quality systems and processes to deliver projects to the standards expected by their customers.
Responsibilities
1. Follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company.
2. Oversee project budgets and supervise the preliminary stages of major projects.
3. Assess production costs and other vital data pertaining to the project.
4. Compile data derived from reports, revise time schedules according to necessity, and oversee the quality of work at the project site.
5. Support project review meetings.
6. Liaise with Engineering teams, Manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the timely closure of all actions.
7. Manage the development and production stages of projects.
8. Produce product design and development plans.
9. Ensure all safety and legal requirements are being followed, interpret clients' necessities, pinpoint and address engineering problems, and implement solutions.
Essential Skills
1. Strong experience in an Automotive/Manufacturing environment with relevant experience as a Project Engineer within powertrain or in a Project Management role.
2. Ability to liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers, and service providers.
3. Ability to manage one's own time, multitask, and prioritise workload accordingly.
4. Proven record of people and project management.
5. Ability to produce reports and conduct meetings.
6. Plan work and cascade to the team.
7. Integrate departmental planning with other business units.
8. Demonstrate good emotional intelligence, ethics, and professionalism.
9. Organised, methodical but flexible approach to workload.
10. Must be willing to travel.
11. Must have IDLR/Full right to work in the UK - Sponsorship will not be provided.
Desirable Skills
1. Experience and knowledge of designing project guidelines and procedures.
2. Ability to lead moderate teams.
3. Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
