An exciting opportunity has arisen at Maltby Academy (part of Maltby Learning Trust) for an exceptional Business Administration Apprentice to work with an experienced and highly motivated team of professionals.
We are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Administration Assistant at Maltby Academy to work with the Reception and Administration team. The post holder will build and maintain effective relationships and work collaboratively with others to deliver added value to the Academy and Trust.
What will the apprentice be doing? Weekly duties will include:
· Dealing with pupils, parents and staff
· Collecting and sorting post
· Communicating by telephone, email or letter
· Circulating information amongst staff
· Distributing information to staff and parents
· Liaising with external agencies and local authorities
· Supporting the setup of meetings
· Keeping records
· Using school MIS system
· Collating school dinner choices
· Filing and photocopying documents
· Building good relationships with parents, pupils and colleagues
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
You will learn the following during the apprenticeship:
· How to manage stakeholders
· Relevant laws and regulations such as health and safety, data protection & equality
· Financial processes such as accounting, payroll & managing budgets
· How to manage change
· Project management
· Factors that affect organisations
· Record & document production
· Interpersonal skills
· Coaching others
· Effective communications
· Quality procedures
· Planning & organisation
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The administration role may be a gateway to further career opportunities, such as management or senior support roles.
Upon completion of, candidates could progress into the following roles within the Trust:
· Receptionist
· Administration Assistant
· Administration Officer
