Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Construction Administrator / Project Co-ordinator to join our team in Ingatestone, Essex. This office-based role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of construction projects, providing administrative support, and coordinating key aspects of project delivery. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain efficiency and compliance across projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Act as the first point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating construction projects, ensuring timelines and deadlines are met.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and compliance records.
*
Manage job bookings and contractor diaries, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
*
Handle document control, including filing, tracking, and distributing project-related documents.
*
Process invoices, monitor project costs, and support financial reporting.
*
Assist in health and safety compliance by maintaining relevant records and documentation.
*
Support contract managers with administrative tasks, including reports and correspondence.
*
Coordinate access arrangements and site visits for engineers and contractors.
*
Identify and resolve administrative issues to support project efficiency.
Skills & Experience Required:
*
Proven experience in a similar administrative or co-ordinator role within the construction industry.
*
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with multiple stakeholders.
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
*
Familiarity with construction industry software or scheduling tools (desirable).

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance within construction (advantageous).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
