Trinity Business Support are currently looking to add an experienced Transport Planner to our team based in Doncaster.
Due to expansion, we're now looking to add this role to our ever-increasing team.
Job Purpose:
To ensure the effective planning for the movement of goods on vehicles across the UK and Europe.
To ensure the effective planning for the collection and distribution of customer goods with respect in a timely manner.
To fulfil our company objective to be recognised as being best in class at overall service within the UK / European haulage network.
Job Dimensions:
You will be required to work at Doncaster but will also be required to visit HQ in the North East when required.
Principle Accountabilities:
1. Be punctual and reliable, ready to carry out daily duties.
2. Be clean and smart at all times.
3. Comply with company health and safety policy, ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment.
4. Ensure that available equipment is in full working order and report any faults when required.
5. Monitor and record damage to vehicles, property, or machinery and inform transport manager and workshop where damage is reported.
6. Effectively plan routes ensuring the most efficient distribution of work for our Haulage Drivers across the UK and Europe.
7. Assess routes in line with daily needs.
8. Ensure drivers are aware each load must be safe and secure.
9. Work in a professional and courteous manner, dealing with any anomalies.
10. Co-ordinate with sites and customers to agree schedules.
11. Monitor progress of drivers and make adjustments if there is any doubt about them meeting service criteria or exceeding driving hours.
12. Ensure drivers collect from customers in a timely and accurate manner making any relevant changes to schedules.
13. Assist drivers with queries.
14. Input driver information and work schedules electronically through the Mandata system and Alliance.
15. Monitor Mandata and Alliance system to ensure drivers are progressing through and completing job schedules.
16. Monitor and answer emails from external customers and from those within the Katem group.
17. Maintain a good working relationship with other departments within the company.
18. Work towards company targets.
19. Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Company Owners or management.

Hours Of Work:
Monday to Friday, 08.00-17.00.
