Domestic Assistants - The Person
As a Domestic Assistant, your wellbeing is highly regarded, and you have the opportunity to be heard at a variety of employee meetings, workshops, and team-building sessions, making working for Sheffield Hallam University a more involved experience.
You will work as part of a team throughout the University Campuses and provide support to University events, departmental activities, and help desk requests.

Domestic Assistants - The Team
Our Domestic Assistants represent the University at the highest level, as the cleanliness of the campus plays an important role in attracting our students when they are deciding which University they want to attend.
Their work is often praised by our colleagues as they aim to achieve the highest standards possible.
Our Domestic Assistants have the freedom to influence their work schedules to present the University in its best possible light, proudly supported by Senior Domestic Assistants and Unit Leaders to reach this ambition.
You will be contractually enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) – one of the largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes in the country.
If you are, or have been, a recent member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) directly prior to joining us, you can choose to opt out of the TPS and remain in the USS. Please contact the Pensions team to discuss options available.
