Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant – Permanent As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant to support the Grounds & Biodiversity Officer by being part of a team in the undertaking of grounds and environmental maintenance tasks, creating a positive first impression of our buildings, land, homes, and communities by ensuring they are professionally maintained generating an environment that is welcoming, safe, hygienic, and homely. The role is permanent with a salary of £23,150.16 a year, rising to £24,940 per annum. About the role The role of Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant is a pivotal role within our Assets Team as they will support the Grounds and Biodiversity Officer in working to achieve operational targets and service standards. The successful Grounds Maintenance Assistant will be working as part of our Property and Land Services team, following a well-established set of job objectives and processes to safely produce work of a high standard whilst ensuring accurate reporting of information to customer and your colleagues. About You To be successful in the role of our new Grounds & Biodiversity Assistant team member must have experience in conducting a role of a similar nature and be able to demonstrate the following skills: At least 6 months experience in ground maintenance or in a similar industry. Hold a valid CSCS card and have a strong, positive approach to Health and Safety A keen interest in the environment and Biodiversity Ability and willingness to follow job activities and processes Be able to deliver a high standard of work within deadlines Resilience in challenging and conflicting situations Be a strong team player You will also require a valid driving licence or have the ability to travel through the borough consistently. As part of the role, you may be required to drive a company vehicle and therefore all candidates will need to undertake a driving assessment which will be provide by Tai Tarian.
