Our client is looking to recruit a number of Senior Quantity Surveyors on a contract basis.

Key Accountabilities
1. Commercial Management
* Ensure accurate cost and value reporting and forecasting to mitigate financial impacts.
* Capture costs effectively and ensure appropriate allocation.
* Implement robust processes to identify and escalate commercial risks.
* Assist in determining operational commercial reporting requirements.
* Self-assurance of commercial data and processes.
* Anticipate sub-contracting requirements and ensure robust contracts.
* Embed commercial awareness across the alliance for prudent decisions.
* Establish key commercial performance metrics and baselines.
* Mediation in contractual and financial disputes.
* Report commercial management decisions to stakeholders timely.
* Act as the commercial representative for the regional area.
* Manage efficiency and expenditure understanding.
* Provide data for timely publication of alliance programme pool reporting.
* Main contact for delivery route on commercial matters.
* Manage cost allocation and reporting appropriately.
* Focus on timely Monthly Cost to Complete forecasting.
* Ensure accuracy of Cost to Employ (CTE) data.
* Deliver financial closure of Work Orders and projects.
2. Enabling of Commercial Efficiencies
* Identify cost reduction opportunities and support stakeholders.
* Support development of alliance business plans and efficiency initiatives.
* Review commercial processes for efficiency improvements.
* Lead benchmarking activities for efficiency.
* Identify and lead on commercial lessons learned.
* Support production of project-specific cost to complete.
3. Contract Administration, Compliance and Self-Assurance
* Create commercial forums for prudent management and compliance.
* Ensure compliance with Procurement Policy and legislation.
* Compile Work Orders with the Contract Management Team.
* Ensure entitlement in respect of contractual scope changes.
* Conduct risk-based cost audits to identify disallowable costs.
* Manage system and manual accruals per accounting policies.
* Produce final accounts where required.
* Lead on provision of disallowed cost schedules.
4. Manage, Develop and Support Resource
* Ensure team compliance with processes and policies.
* Coach and mentor commercial staff as needed.
* Ensure training and development plans for team members.
* Conduct performance reviews and address issues.
* Manage team through Workday for hiring and performance.
* Create a culture of collaborative working.
* Promote a commercial mindset across the alliance.
* Encourage trust, integrity, and openness in the team.
* Develop common cost and estimating databases.
* Implement consistent commercial management approaches.
* Encourage personal responsibility and provide feedback.
