What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse (Adult), you’ll be an integral part of the healthcare team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care. You could be involved in anything from developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests, as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency.

You should possess a good working knowledge of conducting risk assessments and care planning, as well as being someone who is creative and forward-thinking to work through the issues that may arise in this challenging but exciting environment.
If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.
It doesn’t stop there… we also offer:
* Discounts on shopping and leisure activities
* Support to grow in your role and continue your professional development
* 24/7 employee assistance helpline and financial assistance when you need it
What we’ll look for in you

You will be a Registered Nurse (Adult), NMC qualified, and will have evidence of continued professional development throughout your clinical career thus far. Having an understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, coupled with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach will enable you to succeed in this role, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment. Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work. If you’re looking for a role where you can develop your existing healthcare skills and learn something new every day in an environment that never stands still, then this could be the right opportunity for you.
