Summary We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join the team as Facilities Manager at Kedleston Hall, an extravagant 18th century mansion designed by architect Robert Adam. You’ll report to the General Manager and lead the facilities and business services team of five, who strive to ensure Kedleston delivers the best possible experience for visitors, volunteers and staff. Click here for more information about this location What you'll be doing As our Facilities Manager you'll lead and manage the facilities and business services team of five people, who ensure the site runs like clockwork and are responsible for maintaining high standards throughout all areas visited by people, including staff and volunteers. You’ll lead on compliance across the property to ensure a safe and secure environment for all. With your team you’ll ensure that all facilities and services are well maintained. You’ll also form strong links with your fellow heads of department and work together to improve things and use resources efficiently. You'll be leading all planned preventative, reactive and small maintenance projects across the estate. You'll also be involved in the day-to-day running of capital works projects. As part of the duty manager team, you’ll also be on rotas as a duty manager throughout the year. Who we're looking for We’d love to hear from you if you’re: experienced in managing facilities and assets keenly interested in looking after buildings and assets to a high standard skilled in managing relations with contractors and stakeholders and able to confidently negotiate and influence experienced in detailed management of compliance and health and safety knowledgeable of environmental and climate initiatives able to manage large maintenance budgets and make sure projects run smoothly are a team player and enjoy working with, and supporting others, to achieve great results The package The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart.
