Make a Home at Taylor WimpeyJob summary/PurposeEstablishing effective strategies for land interests (freeholds, options, hybrids and promotion agreements) to be promoted to ensure deliverable housing land for development by Taylor Wimpey businesses and good placemaking. Responsible for assisting with the Strategic Land portfolio in the operating areas covered by the Midlands and North West Strategic Land team. (This role can be based from one of our multiple offices across the Midlands and North West areas).Primary ResponsibilitiesKey accountabilitiesUnderstanding constraints and opportunities commercially and technically on land interestsThe promotion of sites through the planning process with a view to securing allocations of land for housingManage planning negotiations, including all representations, planning applications, S.106 agreements, planning appeals etc as necessary in respect of existing portfolio.Understand and negotiate legal agreements such as landowners, consortium, s.106 etc agreements.Draft business plans for each individual asset/JV, with key aims and milestone dates established.Reporting on all assets as and when required including management of all capital expenditure in line with agreed budgets.Setting of clear scopes and the appointment of external consultants, negotiating fees and securing consultancy services that add valueLiaison with landowners over progress on site promotion to establish positive relationshipsResponsibility for the renewal/extension of optionsWorking to resolve title and contractual issues on landThe monitoring of Local Plan documents, housing land supply and competitor activityCommunity engagement on site promotions and planning applicationsExperience, Qualifications, Technical RequirementsDegree qualification in a relevant subject or where transferable skills can be demonstratedRICS or RTPI accreditationPrevious successful experience in land acquisition process in housebuilding industryKnowledge of planning policy and processCommitment to a progressive careerFull driving licenceInclusivity StatementAs a proud Disability Confident Employer, Taylor Wimpey is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
