About the role:

We have created 326 apprenticeship opportunities since 2001, with over 90% completing their apprenticeship with us. Last year we recruited 28 Apprentices, who will all benefit from a combination of hands-on working opportunities and off-site training while studying toward a formal qualification in their chosen career.
As a commitment to helping our customers live independently in strong communities, we give priority to our customers or care experienced young people who meet the relevant criteria for the apprenticeship scheme, however, applications are open to everyone over the age of 16.

How long is the apprenticeship: up to 2 years.
Which qualification will you achieve: Level 3 HR Support

What you will learn:
• Recruitment: Assisting the team in placing adverts, preparing recruitment documentation for shortlisting and interviews and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
• New starters & contractual changes: Supporting the creation of all contractual documentation including offers for new starters, pre-employment checks and contract amendments.
• Employee data: Administer and monitor sickness, diversity, and other employee data to ensure the accuracy of the HR and Payroll Systems.
• General people administration: Undertake general
administration support and supporting documentation for any HR-related matters, such as absence management, disciplinary and grievance.
• Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with all internal governance, statutory, legislative and regulatory requirements that are applicable.
What we are looking for:
To make sure you will be starting on an appropriate qualification path, you will need to demonstrate you have a minimum of 2 GCSEs or equivalent, grade 4/C or above, this includes Maths and English.
You will also need to be able to meet the travel requirements of the post which will mean being able to get to and from both your place of work and college.
