Contek Recruitment are currently working with a specialist manufacturing client, located in the West Midlands, who are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to join their team.
Our client is a family-owned company located in West Bromwich. They are specialist manufacturers within the chemical industry, with a customer base in regions all over the world.
The ideal candidate will have the following capability/experience:
* Overall responsibility for the management of the Mechanical Engineering & Civil Engineering departments, which includes 25 staff and contractors as required.
* Mechanical maintenance department management.
* Mechanical project engineering management experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Fluent in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
* Excellent personnel management skills.
* Excellent computer skills.
* Maintain and promote a safe operating culture within the department, ensuring that installation and maintenance operate to the highest levels of safety and meet all legal and statutory requirements, company rules, and procedures.
* Liaison at all levels inside the company; outside contacts typically include suppliers, contractors, and agencies such as the HSE & insurance inspectors.
Qualifications/Training:
* A minimum of 10 years experience within an industrial manufacturing environment in a Mechanical Engineering role, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
* The job requires a flexible attitude to deal with multiple complex jobs simultaneously to meet the required changes in operational priorities.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (08:45 AM until 16:30 PM)
