We are looking for an inspirational People leader to support the delivery of our new operating model for the People and OD Function and to embed our ambitious Culture programme which includes progressing the implementation of our ARC Leadership and Team Effectiveness Programme, delivering our Equality Diversity and Inclusion priorities, delivering our wellbeing priorities and supporting the full roll out of our Just and Restorative Culture.
In addition, the post holder will also play a key role in delivering our education, employability and operational commitments linked to the opening of the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital Learning Campus and our wider education and employability commitments as an anchor organisation.
This is a key leadership role within the People and OD senior leadership team reporting into the Director of People and OD and responsible for the development and oversight of the Trust's People Culture, Development and Experience function.
The post holder will provide strong leadership of the directorate’s organisation development, education, learning and development, widening participation, equality diversity and inclusion, and occupational health, wellbeing and staff experience teams.
Working closely with system partners, the postholder will play a key role in delivering system transformation benefits through greater collaborative working. They will ensure that our commitment to tackling inequalities in access, experience and outcomes and becoming a truly inclusive organisation is at the heart of our learning, education and employability programmes.
Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated care organisation with a budget of approximately £600 million and over 7,000 staff. Diversity and social care is at the core of what we do as the Trust provides Community and Acute Services to over half a million people in an urban centre that demands massive regeneration and has substantial premature mortality.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a track record of success gained in a senior leadership role within a large and complex healthcare organisation.
You will have substantial experience gained in people management and have worked at the forefront of continuous improvement and significant change management.
