JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is looking for Expression of Interest candidates for future Quality Lead roles in Aberdeen, Scotland. Please note this is not currently a live role.
Job Objective:
1. Manages or supports the application of quality principles, systems and measures and the quality management system across a program or project. Focused on improving delivery efficiency, customer satisfaction, and reducing potential risks and rework whilst complying with Quality policy, standard and delivering agreed objectives.
2. Ensures compliance with the Wood Business Management System and compliance through a structured assurance program.
3. Supporting measures that ensure predictable delivery and continuous improvement using performance data to make factually based decisions. Engaging and presenting program/project leaders with information and data to enable preventive interventions.
4. This position has a broad scope and typically applies across a single program/project where they may have responsibility for a small quality team or in support of a deployed Quality manager on a larger/complex Program/project. This will be referred to as "Organisation" within the context of this Role profile.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supporting the management of all aspects of Quality across the breadth of their respective organisation and the services we provide.
2. Identification and regular engagement with key stakeholders to promote quality management and gathering feedback on performance.
3. Support the effective planning and allocation of resources (including people and budgets) enabling delivery of agreed objectives and deliverables.
4. Implementing the Wood Business Management System (BMS) across their organisation ensuring that its application is effective and that compliance with the system is routinely monitored, assessed and improved as necessary.
5. Facilitate external BMS certification as appropriate.
6. Ensuring consistent and effective implementation of Quality supporting systems across their organisation (e.g., NCR, Progressive learning and Customer satisfaction systems).
7. Supporting tenders and proposal activities for their organisation.
8. Planning and execution of risk-based assurance plans including the escalation of significant findings to program/project leaders.
9. Monitoring and analysis of delivery performance data, regularly reporting themes and trends to senior leaders and undertaking intervention as required.
10. Gathering and acting upon customer feedback ensuring action is taken to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
1. Degree/diploma or local equivalent in Quality management, project management or related discipline (essential).
2. Lead Auditor qualification by recognized industry body (essential).
3. Membership of CQI/ASQ Quality organisations, Project Management Institute or equivalent (desirable).
4. Formal training in recognised root cause analysis techniques (essential).
Knowledge, skills and experience:
1. Relevant experience (preferably in associated industry).
2. Comprehensive understanding in industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 19011 and associated Wood Standards).
3. Proficient in the analysis of processes and data.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
5. High Level of communication skills in both written and spoken format.
6. Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
