Position Summary We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can provide pivotal support to the drivers that come onto site and communicating effectively with all our factories and warehouses on site. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive 365-day resource plan, ensuring strict compliance with Nestle policies and Operator license regulations. You will also play a vital role in facilitating seamless collaboration among internal teams, including workshops, scheduling, and delivery operation managers. Does this sound like you? Then read on A day in the life of an Office Administrator Key responsibilities for this role include but will not be limited to: - To work alongside the delivery operations managers, coordinating the daily operations of the Own Fleet, while adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. - With guidance proactively seek out and resolve problems that have the potential to impact on cost, service, quality offering, or that could result in an H&S issue. - Develop a comprehensive 7-day labour plan for Own Fleet drivers and shunters, prioritizing adherence to Nestle policies and Operator license regulations, specifically the Road Transport Directive and Working Time Directive hours. - Following the maintenance schedule, work closely with York vehicle workshops to ensure unit and trailers are available for periodic servicing and MOT in line with terms set out in Operating license agreements. - To undertake development projects as required by Ops Manager. - Assist 3rd party drivers in navigating the York site, providing an up-to-date status of their loads, giving instructions and support as needed. What will make you successful - Previous experience in transport operations: While not mandatory, having prior experience in transport operations is advantageous, as it provides a solid foundation and understanding of the industry. Whilst this is an entry level role, experience in administration will be ideal for the successful candidate. - Familiarity with transport legislation: Knowledge of transport legislation is beneficial, as it ensures compliance with legal requirements and O License regulations. - You will be passionate, have a right first-time mindset, enjoy working to deadlines and thrive in an environment where priorities can change. - You will have great Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) whilst being able to demonstrate your already established organisation skills. - You will need to be driven, conscientious and a team player.
