Job overview
The Dermatology department has an exciting opportunity for a person to fulfil the role of Telederm Service Coordinator.
This is a fixed-term post, and will be required to work within a multi-disciplinary team of Consultants, Junior Doctors, Nurses and Admin Staff, coordinating the outpatient activity within a busy department.
The service is rapidly growing and evolving to encompass new technologies and changes in healthcare access nationally. This post will be key in developing and maintaining Telederm urgent suspected cancer pathways.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to:
* Co-ordinate all referrals to the Telederm service and liaise with GP practices to ensure correct referral pathway.
* Accurately record clinical history of all patients attending the Telederm service.
* Be responsible for inputting patient data and using appropriate software to enable auditing of this information.
* Manage clinical images within the department digital image management system.
* Collate statistics and manage daily workflow.
* Work alongside other department administrators to provide continual admin support to the clinicians.
* Be a first point of contact for patients on the Telederm Pathway.
* Liaise regularly with the Skin Cancer navigators.
* General Admin.

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or higher.
* Excellent standard of English.
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience working in a busy environment.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience working in the NHS or similar healthcare provider.
* Experience of NHS waiting list management.
* Knowledge of patient management applications re Cerner/Millennium.
