Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Landscape Architect to join our Environmental Management and Design team based at our Trent Bridge House Office in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

What you’ll do:
1. Design and manage the delivery of landscape design, urban design and environmental improvement projects.
2. Provide specialist landscape design and technical input to clients to support delivery of complex and large-scale projects across the organisation or externally.
3. Provide specialist expertise in delivery and evaluation of Landscape & Visual Impact and Landscape Character Assessments as part of planning process, to achieve compliance with legislation and national/local policies.
4. Prepare and manage the production of a range of environmental assessments such as Environmental Impact Assessments, which may include the coordination of delivery teams to support the development and delivery projects.
5. Collaborate with Via’s Construction and Commercial Division to maintain workflow there by supporting achievement of company business plan objectives for productivity and profit across design and build functions.
6. Manage consultation, communication and liaison with clients and stakeholders including members of the public and elected Members.
What we’re seeking:
1. A degree in Landscape Architecture and working towards Chartership of the Landscape Institute with post qualification experience and knowledge gained through a design consultancy.
2. Strong ICT skills in specialist computer applications used to support landscape, planning, design and management activities including working knowledge of current CAD and GIS software packages.
3. Working knowledge of design standards and sustainability principles appropriate to landscape design, environmental improvement schemes and land management plans.
4. Working knowledge of procurement practices used in design and construction, including forms of tender, conditions of contract and forms of partnership.
5. Experience of all stages of project implementation from feasibility, construction and post construction including establishment maintenance and long-term management.
6. A Full UK Drivers Licence.
