Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant Location: Small Primary School, Chesterfield Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) Start Date: January 2024 or earlier, if possible Are you passionate about nurturing young learners and supporting their early educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our small, friendly primary school in Chesterfield. This is a full-time role, supporting children in both Nursery and Reception classes. About the Role As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide high-quality support to children in Nursery and Reception classes. Assist in creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment tailored to the needs of young learners. Work closely with the teaching team to deliver engaging activities that promote development across all areas of the EYFS framework. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their confidence, independence, and social skills. Contribute to the planning and preparation of resources, as well as the observation and assessment of children's progress. About You To be successful in this role, you should: Hold a relevant TA qualification to at least Level 2 (required for EYFS ratios). Have proven experience supporting children in an EYFS setting. Demonstrate a deep understanding of how to create a nurturing and effective learning environment for young learners. Possess a calm, kind, and patient manner.
