They are now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join them on a permanent, full time basis at the HQ in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to develop and improve processes, with typical responsibilities including designing of new equipment, processes, procedures and systems, purchasing and overseeing equipment installation. You'll work cross functionally and engage with other teams to ensure the success of projects. Main duties will include: Support Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) development meetings. Support the review and tender stages for new equipment. Liaise with R&D staff to ensure new product can be assembled and the correct processes and equipment are available for start-up. Develop effective automated and non-automated systems. Champion change management processes. Embrace SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) in all projects. About you: You'll have extensive experience in a Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering role and ideally a technical qualification within a relevant discipline - such as HND/FND in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. You'll have a working understanding of: Metal working processes and assembly No fault forward design Engineering & manufacturing BOM's aligned with assembly and manufacturing methods The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally covering areas of discrete part manufacture, and assembly operation, including fixtures and poke yoke and CAD (2D and 3D ideally AutoCAD and Siemens NX). There will be some travel to other sites locally within 20 miles, a driving license and car would be beneficial.
