Job Overview
A leading Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee an initial Carbon Capture project in the Liverpool area (travel required 1 day a week). The successful candidate will work on large-scale infrastructure projects, offering a competitive salary of £85,000 and hybrid working options.
This position involves administering contracts, identifying commercial risks, and utilizing cost management systems. The ideal candidate will have relevant industry qualifications, general civil engineering experience, and proficiency in NEC 3 Option A Contract experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare internal commercial reports and valuations for payment with supporting documentation.
* Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules, administer subcontractor/supplier accounts, and agree final accounts.
* Undertake contract administration, including change management and maintaining associated registers.
* Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and change.
Requirements
* Relevant Industry Qualification
* General Civil Engineering experience
* Commercially astute with knowledge of standard forms of contract and standard methods of measurement.
* Proficient in NEC 3 Option A Contract experience
* Experience using CEMAR
* Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications
* Good communication skills, including presentations and negotiation
