What you will do in your working day
To work with the on shift electrician to carry out planned preventative maintenance, to ensure the smooth running of the machines. To fault find and diagnose issues with the machines when they have broken down, then record findings for analysis. To carry out remedial repairs and installation of new electrical systems.
Some of the tasks but not limited to are:
* Motor testing
* PLC interigation
* Electrical fault finding with drawings
* Inverter drive parameter setup/monitoring
* Cable containment installation
* Terminate cables
* Housekeeping
The training you will be getting
* You will receive a Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrical qualification upon successful completion of your apprenticeship
* You will be required to attend Dudley College 1 day per week as part of your apprenticeship
* You will receive in house training from your employer on: FLT, MEWP, working at heights
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
* Possibility for a role as a Maintenance Electrician within the department, with opportunties to climb the ladder.
