You will provide high quality essential care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner in a caring, compassionate, and sensitive manner.

· Chaperon service users and clinicians to get the best outcome during consultations.
· Basic patient care which may include personal hygiene.
· Undertake moving and handling using a safe and correct method.
· Recognises and reports possible concerns of patients / relatives / visitors to Registered Practitioners in timely and appropriate manner.
· Demonstrates effective time management skills to efficiently manage workload, recognising and responding to changing priorities throughout shift and alerting the Registered Practitioner to situations where difficulties are experienced in meeting the care needs of the patients.
· Actively involves the patient, and where applicable families / carers, in their own care, consulting and involving them in decision making regarding their care and well-being consistently placing them at the centre of the health

• To work effectively as a member of the Outpatient Department, establishing and maintaining professional relationships within the team and with all service users.
• To work flexibly and collaboratively within scope of competence to support the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care which meets key performance and quality standards.
• Maintain the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of patients at all times
• Maintain excellent communication with patients, relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team regarding all aspects of care demonstrating a variety of communication skills as required
• Maintain a clean environment with due consideration to Health and Safety issues
• In conjunction with other team members participate in shift and rotational working patterns to ensure provision of a 24/7 service throughout the year
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations
