The Role We are seeking a Functional Skills Entry English educator to join our dedicated education team at HMP Thameside. This is a fulfilling and varied role, offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week. Your week will be split between teaching Functional Skills Entry English classes three days a week, leading and supporting a reading group, and contributing to other Functional Skills classes on the remaining two days. You'll also have one dedicated planning session each week to prepare high-quality lessons tailored to your learners' needs. What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who is not only a qualified educator but also a compassionate individual who believes in unlocking potential in every learner. You'll need: A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 or 5 (or a commitment to achieving this within a set timeframe). A minimum Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
