About the job:
Due to our continuing success, we are delighted to be growing our team and looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join us at McMillan and Associates Ltd. Reporting to Zoe Nicholl (Operational Manager), you will be expected to be on site at our offices at Clifton Moor, York. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of McMillan and Associates' social media strategy, including creating and posting content across social media platforms, engaging with followers, monitoring analytics, ensuring brand consistency, and achieving social media goals. You will have the ability to work in a timely manner in an ever-evolving environment. You will need to be able to work onsite and will collaborate with other team members to ensure the social media marketing meets our strategic aims.

Education:
Essential - 5 GCSEs at Grades 9-4 (A* to C)
Desirable - Degree in marketing/social media OR completed apprenticeship in marketing/social media
Skills and Abilities:
* Create engaging, valuable, and relevant content; ranging from designing graphics, creating video content, and writing engaging captions.
* Manage and update social media channels accordingly.
* Use your strong planning, prioritisation, and attention to detail skills with your passion to create engaging and creative content.
* Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner, fostering community engagement.
* Comfortable voicing ideas and sharing these.
* Keep abreast of the latest social media best practices and technologies.
* Collaboration with the wider team.
Hours of work:
The role is offered on a part-time basis, working 30 hours a month, equating to 7 hours per week. Our core business hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, although we encourage flexible working based on your individual need and preference.
Salary: £23,000-26,500 pro rata and depending on demonstrable experience.
(This role is 7 hours per week)
