The Job
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office.
You will play a key role in developing and strengthening our business. We are seeking an individual who can come in and completely revitalise our systems and processes, so previous experience in setting up, managing and bringing a little ooommph! to proceedings will be essential!
You will be strong analytically, with exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to learn, adapt and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process & Policy Implementation: Work closely with the COO and CFO to design and implement effective credit control processes and procedures that ensure timely customer payments.
* Team Leadership: Develop and manage a credit control function, ensuring performance targets are met, while conducting regular reviews and training.
* Debt Chasing & Payment Management: Actively chase overdue payments, negotiate payment plans with customers, and set terms and conditions for payment arrangements.
* Debt Reconciliation: Reconcile and report on B2B supplier liabilities (e.g., Energy/Internet suppliers) and ensure accurate tracking of outstanding debts.
* Debt Collection Improvement: Continuously improve debt collection processes and escalate unresolved debts with the Legal team when necessary.
* Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on KPIs such as DSO and overdue debt; forecast future cash flow risks.
* Collaboration: Liaise with sales, finance, and legal teams for account management, dispute resolution, and escalating issues.
Key Requirements:
* Strong Organizational & Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple responsibilities.
* Analytical & Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with credit control systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
* Problem-Solving & Negotiation: Ability to handle disputes, negotiate payment plans, and resolve issues with attention to detail.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GDPR, the Late Payment Act, and other relevant legal frameworks.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and customers.

Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
