Job Title: IT Support Engineer Location: Aberdeen, UK - Hybrid with travel to vessels As an IT Support Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for resolving IT-related issues within a hybrid working environment. Your expertise will ensure minimal downtime and enhance productivity for our users. This role involves a balance of technical troubleshooting, user support, and collaboration across teams. Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include: First Line Support: Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues Assist users with login problems, password resets, and account setup Incident Management: Log, track, and escalate issues using our ticketing system. Prioritize incidents based on severity and impact on business operations. Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Manage software applications via MDM and RMM tools. Network Support: Troubleshoot network connectivity for wired and wireless connections. Set up and configure routers, switches, and firewalls Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions. Create and update knowledge base articles. User Training and Education: Provide training on IT systems and applications. Promote IT security and data protection best practices. Collaboration and Communication: Work with IT team members to resolve complex issues. Communicate with end-users to gather necessary information for issue resolution. Knowledge of Windows device management and Active Directory. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications. Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Customer-oriented with a patient and positive attitude. Willingness to travel for vessel mobilization as needed. Ability to work independently.
