Buying Transformation Manager
Purpose of Role:
The Buying Transformation Manager will be required to lead on the integration of new technologies within the Buying Department, supporting both technical implementation and cultural change.
1. Managing Change Activities: Overseeing structural, cultural and process changes in line with the programme of works
2. Systematic Approach: Creating a systematic approach to change and managing the overall critical path of their programme of works
3. Assessing Impact: Assessing the effect of business change and the organization's preparedness to reduce possible risks
4. Training and Communication: Overseeing all training and communication linked to the integration of new systems and processes
5. Technical Solutions: Building a in depth knowledge of business processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and helping to land technical solutions across the Buying departments
6. Stakeholder Management: Ensuring all stakeholders are consulted on decisions, gathering feedback and cascading information effectively in an organised and timely manner
7. Providing Strategic Direction: Ensuring all initiatives align with the organization’s broader vision and long-term objectives
Key Accountabilities:
8. Programme Management: Maintain well structured, organised and informed project plans, ensuring all key deadlines are met and resource is prioritised effectively
9. Budget Adherence: Ensure all workstreams are delivered in line with programme budgets and that all spend is well tracked and accounted for
10. Head of Department Support: Ensure that the Head of Merchandising & Space is well informed of all programme activities and support with wider Buying strategic objectives
11. ROI Control: Ensure that ROI as part of all initiatives are reviewed on a regular basis and strategy is aligned to deliver maximum long term improvements to sales and profitability
12. Continuous Improvement: Help to identify and deliver new opportunities and improvements to departmental processes through data insight and changes to ways of working

Technical Skills
17. Demonstrated project management skills in a fast-paced cross functional environment
18. Demonstrated data analysis experience
19. Large data analysis within SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Google Analytics, etc, preferable
20. Knowledge of cloud based data management and analytics would be beneficial
21. Experience working across Microsoft Office and Sharepoint services.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
22. Required experience within a Retail Buying/Trading environment. Experience working within a merchandising or space planning team preferable but not required.
23. Required experience working with and influencing senior business stakeholders across multiple business functions
24. Experience in a front-line retail role desirable
25. Experience in managing a team of reports to deliver multiple workstreams simultaneously
26. Excellent presentation skills and the ability to translate complex information into easy to understand content for multiple audiences
27. A flexible approach to the working environment and able to demonstrate the ability to respond to a fast moving, rapidly changing market and business.
