Human Engineering is representing a prominent client specialising in the installation, repair, and maintenance of power generation systems at key locations such as hospitals, manufacturing sites, and critical service facilities across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, repair, and maintain control systems for power generation equipment in various locations across the UK.
* Diagnose and resolve control system issues, with a focus on PLC fault-finding and modifications.
* Implement control system upgrades and modifications to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
* Provide on-site technical support and respond to system failures in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, performing risk assessments where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and contribute to project documentation.
Requirements:
* Strong experience in PLC fault-finding and modifications (essential).
* Knowledge or experience in power generation is preferred but not essential.
* Full, valid UK driving license.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Willingness to travel and work across various UK locations.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often in critical service environments.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.
