As a Logistics Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of vessel planning and the preparation of SAP-generated manifests. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating call-off materials required for shipment, ensuring efficient loading to meet sailing schedules. This role involves direct communication with offshore materials, DMC, and 3rd party vendors, ensuring compliance with legislation and procedures. Working on a 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern, you will also cover for back-to-backs as needed. Other responsibilities include:
* Serve as a primary contact for Client's Offshore locations, ensuring timely and efficient shipments.
* Participate in daily planning calls to determine priorities and future sailing plans.
* Acting as the single point of contact between Client and relevant internal ASCO teams.
* Plan loadouts in advance, in conjunction with the Client team, for major campaigns/projects/TARs.
* Create the master load list based on information from Client's Materials Controllers and suppliers.
* Develop and agree Cargo Loading Plan in conjunction with ASCO’s OCC and Client representatives.
* Obtain full details of cargo from Client’s suppliers prior to load out and arrange for any special requirements, including but not limited to specialist containers, specialist sea fastening, deck planning arrangements and arrange discrete lift plans and additional plant and labour as required.
* Ensure that non-routine cargo such as explosives, radioactive materials and crane lifts are delivered to coincide with the Vessel loading time, thereby mitigating any unnecessary crane/transport costs.
* Coordinate with the OCC and Client representatives for prioritising cargo loading and discharge.
* Effectively co-ordinating the movement of inbound / outbound cargo between the base and various vendors, ensuring client's shipping is compliant with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Address non-compliance issues promptly and produce necessary reports.
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours):
* SAP experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
Minimum Qualifications:
* Full UK Driving License
Desirable Qualifications/Competencies:
* RTITB Counterbalance Forklift Licence
* Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR)
* Dangerous Goods by Sea (IMDG)
* Oil Spill Awareness/Response
* IOSH working safely
* Manual handling training
* Ready for road
* Vehicle Banksman/Spotter
