The Service
The Alyth services include Airlie View and Burnside Court, both of which support those with additional support requirements within 24 hour accommodation-based settings; and an outreach service which supports individuals in their own homes in Alyth and Blairgowrie.
The individuals we support have a wide range of needs and abilities and we work in a person-centred way to assist them to achieve their outcomes.
The Role
As a Support Worker you will:
Deliver a high standard of care for individuals in-line with their outcomes plans
Provide holistic daily living support to individuals, including assistance with cooking, cleaning, budgeting and personal care; with a person-centered approach
Provide support and encouragement to enable individuals to participate in and enjoy leisure, social and other meaningful activities
You Will
Have a positive flexible attitude
Be a good communicator, both written and verbal
Have good time-keeping and organisational skills
Be able to demonstrate transferrable skills relating to care
Have the right values, behaviours and attitude to work effectively with individuals who require care and support
Possess an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or the willingness to undertake study to achieve this
Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
Have a full UK driving licence
