We’re hiring a Junior Electrical Test Engineer in Sheffield, United Kingdom – an exciting opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic engineering environment!
The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for providing production testing, QA inspection, and verification support, along with specialist product assistance for the manufacturing and service activities at our UK Integration Centre workshop.
What will you do in our team?
1. Carry out workshop test activities including safety and functional testing, to ensure that all equipment produced by the UK Integration Centre is fully functional and meets customer requirements, all engineering instructions and build standards.
2. Carry out customer Factory Acceptance Tests (After being passed as competent on particular equipment).
3. Support QA activities when necessary in connection with goods inward, in-process, and final despatch inspections, developing and managing the implementation of standard test and QA inspection.
4. Support UK Integration Centre 'Concession Release' Systems.
5. Assist the UK service department for equipment produced in the UK.
6. Ensure that any activity, task and responsibility required by the role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program.
What will make you successful?
1. Preferably wide standby power and emergency lighting equipment product application knowledge and experience; relevant panel building industry factory testing experience will be considered.
2. Excellent written and verbal communications.
3. Organisational and time management skills.
4. Self-motivated and capable of operating with minimal supervision.
5. Ability to successfully interface with various departments and personnel at all levels.
6. Multi-tasking ability with a flexible approach to work.
7. Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
