ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Quantity Surveyor, will be responsible for managing costs across projects, ensuring each is profitable. The projects that you will be involved in will be working on NEC contracts within wastewater & clean water, with all the works being high volume, low-cost work. General duties and responsibilities will include the preparation and submission of monthly valuations and final accounts; attending weekly and monthly commercial meetings; monitoring change control at project level; liaising with clients and the supply chain pre and post contract; preparing and issuing EWN’s and CE’s to the supply chain and clients and preparing and submitting project tenders to name just a few duties.

The Head of Commercial has a brilliant reputation and he can offer his knowledge to help develop your experience and the company has a great reputation for delivering projects to a high standard, so you can be sure to be gaining experience in the right way. The role itself gives you a great opportunity to grow and progress throughout the company whilst it allows you to take good responsibility for the work that you’re producing (i.e. you won’t be micro-managed).
REQUIREMENTS
You are required to have a good standard of education preferably degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and hold a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience within the civil engineering industry, whilst working in the UK.
You must hold working knowledge of NEC 3 main and subcontract contract forms, demonstrate an understanding of both pre-contract and post contract works and be a strong user of Excel, pivots, lookups and sheet automation.
As this is a permanent opportunity, you must be able to demonstrate stability of employment (unfortunately, no freelancers can be considered) and due to project locations, you must hold a full UK driving license.
