Job Title: Audit Manager Location: Finchley, London Salary: Circa £67,000 Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Pentagon Talent are thrilled to be working with a well-established mid-tier accountancy firm in Finchley, to support in the recruitment of an experienced and motivated Audit Manager to join an expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied client portfolio across different industries. Key Responsibilities: Audit & Accounts: Lead audits for a diverse range of clients, including PLCs and those reporting under FRS102, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Client Portfolio: Manage and oversee a varied client portfolio, delivering tailored audit and accounts services to clients across multiple industries. Statutory Accounts: Review statutory accounts for a range of clients, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and statutory regulations. Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of junior staff, reviewing their work and providing guidance to ensure high-quality delivery. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact and providing expert advice on audit and accounting matters. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure audits and accounts are completed in compliance with FRS102, UK GAAP, and other relevant standards, while meeting deadlines and budget expectations. Business Development: Participate in client meetings, contribute to business development efforts, and identify new opportunities to grow the firm's client base and services. Key Skills & Experience: ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with significant experience in audit and accounts preparation, including exposure to FRS102 and PLCs. Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, auditing practices, and corporate taxation. Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and developing junior staff members. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and client expectations.
