Description Salary: £33,366 - £35,235 per annum Hours per week: 37 hours Interview date: Friday 7 February 2025 HR&OD – Shaping our Vision and Workforce The Organisational Development (OD) team plays a crucial role in helping the council build a flexible, highly skilled, and capable workforce. Our aim is to ensure we have the right people, with the right skills and attitudes, in the right roles, at the right time. Our Trainers are central to achieving this goal by providing essential training and development to internal staff, particularly within health and social care. As a Trainer, you will design and deliver a wide range of courses, including statutory and mandatory training for health and social care staff, such as safeguarding, medication awareness, and other key topics. Additionally, you will deliver external courses to support our income generation, including both non-accredited and accredited social care and healthcare training. Occasionally, you may also deliver council-wide courses, such as Assertiveness and Effective Communication. Full training will be provided before you deliver any courses independently. We are looking for a skilled, innovative, and motivational professional with a focus on health and social care. You will need a recognised teaching or training qualification (ideally at Level 4 or equivalent) and a strong understanding of quality frameworks, functional skills, and IAG. Your ability to deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions and support learner development is essential. If you're a dedicated professional seeking an opportunity to make a real impact while growing your career in training, we want to hear from you. Please note that as part of your interview, you will be asked to deliver a 15-minute micro-teach session on an element of safeguarding. This is an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge, teaching skills, and ability to engage an audience. Why us? Wiltshire Council is a friendly, welcoming place to work, with a 'One Council' ethos.
