What skills and experience we're looking for
Brentside Primary Academy are looking for a candidate to undertake a dual role as an Assistant Headteacher and a Class Teacher.
We are looking for 2 Assistant Headteachers, one with a responsibility for Curriculum and Assessment and the other with a responsibility for Inclusion and Welfare. Both candidates will also undertake teaching responsibilities and Deputy DSL responsibilities. This job advert is for the role of Assistant Head with Curriculum and Assessment responsibilities.
We are looking for a candidate that is:-
• Experienced in implementing an innovative and creative curriculum
• A collaborative team player, able to work effectively with colleagues, parents and other community partners
• Experienced in developing secure positive relationships and classroom culture
• Experienced in line management of diverse teams, enabling each member to feel included and to achieve the best possible outcomes
• Understanding of the importance of working with teams to set the vision and develop strategic plans, and the practical implementation of planned school improvement goals
• Experienced in successfully leading an area of whole school practice, and impacting positively on learning for pupils
• Secure understanding of best practice in safeguarding leadership, policy and practices

The role is for 2.5 days per week as an Assistant Headteacher and 2.5 days as a class teacher.
