This leading manufacturer is dedicated to innovation and sustainability. With a track record of success and a commitment to excellence, we are seeking a talented Statutory Accountant to join their finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Statutory Accounts
Ensure OTIF Delivery of the Annual Client Assistance Schedules for YE Audits
Co-ordinate & Prepare Statutory Accounts for all Companies to Group Deadlines
Business Partnering with Finance; Operations, R&D, Commercial & HR, to facilitate the Reporting Process
Presenting clear financial information to the CFO; External Auditors; External Tax Advisors & Group
Liaise & Ensure Compliance with external bodies as required - Audit / Tax / HMRC/ Pension etc
2. Tax & Pensions
Prepare VAT returns for the entities as required
Work with Tax Business Partner to ensure Tax computations & reporting is transparent, compliant & on time
Prepare RD Tax Credits for the entities as required
Prepare PSA. Ensure PAYE reporting is transparent, compliant & on time
Pension Reporting - Defined Benefit & Defined Contribution
3. Process Improvement
Provide input & support in the development of the Statutory Reporting Process
Identify and help to drive process efficiencies within the finance and controlling areas to support Stats & Tax Reporting
Support the business with the improvement of Internal Controls and Processes.
4. Compliance
Hold the Business to the Internal Controls Framework ensuring compliance from self & others.
Participate in the Review of Key Balance Sheet Reconciliations with the GFC / CFO.
Co-ordinate & Participate with Internal, Group and External audits as and when required.
Manage Delegation of Controls System & Education
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
Years of experience in statutory accounting or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (IFRS, UK GAAP, etc.).
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
