Responsibilities
* Drive the end-to-end site supply chain activities, inclusive of an Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) strategy with maximum impact on business results and customer service.
* Provide effective leadership to your team (5 direct reports, with broader headcount accountabilities), coaching and developing to promote high performance that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
* Manage the Demand Planning process, underpinned by a deep understanding of the business seasonality, production capacity constraints which drives our safety stock, historical customer behaviour and future customer forecasts; seek to continuously improve this process.
* Collaborate cross functionally to ensure consistent and reliable implementation of supply chain activities across the site in support of long-term business goals to ensure we maximise the utilisation of installed capacity and reduce costs.
* Schedule and forecast accurate volumes of materials, goods and products inbound to the business from supply chain partners.
* Move materials, goods and products (including importing and exporting) to ensure that they are in the right place to meet customer demand.
* Work with agreed KPIs to measure success (short, medium, and long-term plans), develop actions and drive delivery and communicate progress across various levels of the business.
* Actively monitor actuals against planned volumes, and adjust the Demand and Supply plans accordingly.
* Actively monitor sales forecasts to identify any effect on the supply chain, implementing efficiency strategies and developing supply chain management procedures.
* Collaborate with the wider divisional Supply Chain team, inputting into the analysis and investment proposals that align with the business needs and play an integral part in the preparation of budgets and commercial proposals.
* Work with the wider site team to drive continuous improvement across supply chain, planning and logistics related activities and maintain all variables within the ERP system to optimise efficiency.
* Interpret and analyse complex data and trends, developing recommendations and strategies.
* Overall responsibility and accountability for the materials planning determining how much and what type of materials and products to hold where in the supply chain which includes: distribution and replenishment plans.
About You
* You will have proven operational experience gained from leadership roles within supply chain functions.
* You will be results orientated with the ability to plan and prioritise multiple projects, both individual and of your direct reports, to deliver against objectives and deadlines.
* You will be commercially and financially astute, with knowledge of multisite P&L management including forecasting and budgeting.
* You will have successfully led and implemented change projects with a common-sense approach to encouraging continual cultural, technological, and operational transformation.
* You will be an effective communicator who can coach and develop your team members, as well as engaging collaboratively with key stakeholders from across the business.
* Your exposure to MRP/ERP systems is essential, which will ideally include knowledge of IFS, and knowledge of lean techniques would be advantageous.
* Notwithstanding your experience to date, you may have achieved a recognised supply chain qualification.
