Service Care Solutions are looking for a Physics Teacher to work within a College in the Salford area on a permanent basis.
Salary: £26,400-£43,800pa
Location: Salford
Job role/responsibilities:
* Participate in key College processes as required e.g. enrolment.
* Act in accordance with college policies e.g. Health and Safety, Equality & Diversity, Inclusion, Quality Assurance, and the College Charter.
* Work flexibly in the interests of the organisation as required.
* Participate in appraisal and undertake staff development activities as appropriate.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults you are responsible for, or come into contact with.
* Teach related courses in accordance with the college timetable.
* Support students in their learning.
* Assess students' progress and maintain accurate records of students' achievements, providing accurate reports and information as required by college quality assurance procedures.
* Select and deliver an appropriate syllabus for any subject for which you have responsibility.
* Provide schemes of work by which the curriculum will be delivered.
* Provide books, materials and facilities within budget allocated.
* Stay informed about developments in the subject and general educational issues that may affect the subject.
* Prepare internal assessments, ensure marking is consistent throughout the department, and provide related statistics and comments on performance for the Head of Department.
* Keep High Schools informed of courses here, participating in liaison and recruitment activities both in College and High Schools.
* Co-operate and liaise with other departments as required.
* Carry out other routine and ad hoc administrative tasks as directed by the Head of Department/Head of College.
Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge:
* Honors Degree.
* QTS.
* Recent experience of teaching level 3.
* Experience of reflecting on and improving teaching practice to increase student achievement.
* Experience of effective assessment for learning and its use to raise standards.
* Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum area.
* Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively and act upon the information.
* Understanding of the strategies needed to establish consistently high aspirations and standards of results and behavior.
* Excellent classroom teacher with the ability to reflect on lessons and continually improve their own practice.
* Effective and systematic behavior management with clear boundaries, sanctions, praise, and rewards.
* Ability to understand and interpret complex student data to drive lesson planning and student attainment.
* Good communication, planning, and organizational skills.
* Willingness to develop links with other organizations.
* Commitment and responsibility to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
* Ability to pass DBS check.
